1. CALIFORNIA DREAMING
The Flyers begin a four-game road trip on their annual California road swing tonight when they face the Ducks, who are in the middle of a four-game homestand... Last season the Flyers' California swing came on the season-opening trip and the Flyers earned wins in two of the three outings (2-1-0), which included an overtime win over the Ducks... Overall, since the league schedule changed in 2013-14, the Flyers are 6-7-2 on California trips, including 3-2-1 over the last two seasons... Against the Eastern Conference, the Ducks are 2-1-0 this year after going 19-10-3 last year as well as an impressive 11-3-2 against the Metropolitan in 2017-18.

2. SOMETHING'S GONNA SNAP
Both the Flyers and Ducks come into tonight's game looking to snap winless skids... The Flyers have lost three straight and two in-a-row on the road, but have not lost four straight games in regulation since Oct. 29-Nov. 3, 2015 when they played four games in six days... Over the last two seasons, the Flyers have earned points in five games in the game after they have lost three straight in regulation (3-0-2)... The Ducks on the other hand are winless in their last five games, going 0-4-1, and have not dropped six in-a-row since the 2011-12 season (Nov. 13-27) when they dropped seven straight... They have earned points in four of five games at home so far this season, going 2-1-2.
3. NEW TO YOU
A pair of Flyers could make their season debut tonight in Tyrell Goulbourne and Nicolas Aube-Kubel - in Aube-Kubel's case it will be his NHL debut, making him the second player on the Flyers to make his NHL debut this season (Vorobyev)... Aube Kubel had seven points (3g-4a) and a +10 rating in eight games in the AHL prior to his recall... Anaheim has had eight rookies appear in games this season, five of which could be in the lineup tonight - forwards Sam Steel (1g-2a), Kiefer Sherwood (2g-2a) and Isac Lundestrom (1a), and defensemen Andy Welinski and Jacob Larsson are coming off their season debut... The Flyers will not see leading rookie Max Comtois, who has seven points (2g-5a) in 10 games, and is out with a lower-body injury.
4. US & THEM
Anaheim has not lost in regulation to the Flyers in their last 15 meetings, going 12-0-3 dating back to February 2, 2008... The Flyers won last year's meeting in Anaheim, 3-2 in overtime, which snapped an eight-game winless skid against the Ducks... In Anaheim specifically, the Flyers and Ducks have had six of their last 10 meetings go past regulation... The Flyers have three players on injured reserve with a total of 24 man-games lost this season, while the Ducks have six players on IR with a total of 65 man-games lost, most notably Corey Perry (18pts in 17gp) who averages a point per-game against the Flyers.
5. PLAYERS TO WATCH:
FLYERS (LW: #28 - Claude Giroux)
The Flyers captain is playing his 750th game of his Flyers and NHL career tonight... He leads the team in shots (40) and has 11 points (3g-8a) in 11 games so far this season, including six points (1g-5a) in five road games... Giroux didn't go three straight without a point all of last season and has not gone four straight games without a point since February of 2017... Against the Ducks, he has 14 points (2g-12a) in 15 career meetings.
DUCKS (C: #15 - Ryan Getzlaf)
Despite the losing skid, the Ducks captain has four points in his last two games (2g-2a), logging over 20 minutes of ice time in each... Getzlaf is also a Flyers-killer - he averages over a point per-game with 19 points (6g-13a) in 15 outings and has an active nine-game point and assist streak against the Flyers in which he has 14 points (4g-10a) in that span... The last time he failed to record a point against the Flyers came on Dec. 2, 2011.
