In the latest edition of Verizon's Prospect Watch, we continue to catch up with the ongoings of Devils prospects around the globe. This week's prospect Aarne Talvitie began his season with Penn State, Nico Daws has arrived in Germany and Yegor Sharangovich continues to tear up the KHL.

UNITED STATES

Aarne Talvitie
Aarne Talvitie has started his season with the NCAA's Penn State University. This will be Talvitie's third season with Penn State. To date, he has played three games and put up one assist.
This season Talvitie is wearing the 'A' on his jersey for Penn State.
Matthew Hellickson
Hellickson is on the ice with Notre Dame and two games played. In his first two games, he has registered two assists.
The Fighting Irish's next games are November 27th and 28th at Michigan.
Cole Brady
Brady's season is underway with the University of Arizona. The goaltender has appeared three times this early season with a 0-1-1 record, 2.48 goals-against average and a .929 save percentage.
Ethan Edwards
The 2020 draft pick has started his season with the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL. The left-shooting defenseman has played in three games and has yet to register a point.
He has committed to the University of Michigan for the 2021-22 season.

CANADA

Dawson Mercer
Dawson Mercer is away from his Quebec Major Junior Hockey League while taking part in the selection camp for Team Canada's World Junior team.

Checking in with those at camp, Mercer has been a standout player vying for a spot with Hockey Canada. He was already a part of the 2020 gold medal-winning team but could take on a much bigger role this time around should he make the cut.

Graeme Clarke
While Clarke's OHL season with the Ottawa 67s has not yet begun due to pandemic protocols in Ontario, Clarke is on the ice looking for a spot with Team Canada.

RUSSIA

Yegor Sharangovich
Yegor Sharangovich has certainly taken the KHL by storm since suiting up with Dinamo Minsk while waiting for the call from North America to rejoin the Devils system. In the meantime, he's been doing damage in the Kontinental Hockey League. Although he did not register a point in the last week, his season totals sit at 27 games played, 13 goals, and two assists.

His 13 goals sit him in the top 10 in goals in the league and second on his Dinamo Minsk team. Sharangovich is playing in the KHL for the first time since the 2017-18 season, after which he made the jump to the AHL.

Shakir Mukhamadullin
This past week, Mukhamadullin played two games with Ufa, contributing one assist to bring his season totals to nine points in 29 games, with two goals and seven assists. On November 20th against Spartak, he played 12:52 in the 2-1 win. Against Barys on the 22nd, he picked his assist this week, in a 4-1 win.
Additionally, Mukhamadullin was named to Team Russia's U20 World Junior camp, along with nine other defensemen.
Mikhail Maltsev
Maltsev has played four games on loan with SKA St. Petersburg, recording one assist.
Danill Misyul
Misyul suited up for a couple of games this past week with Lokomotiv. To date, he has played 21 games, registering two assists.
Yegor Zaitsev
Played another two games this week, has four assists in 27 games with Dynamo Moscow to a 3-0 win.
Arseni Gritsyuk
Arseni Gritsyuk will join Mukhamadullin at Team Russia's U20 World Junior camp, invited along with fourteen other Russia forwards. Gritsyuk has been most recently playing in the VHL with Metallurg Novokuznetsk. He has played a total of eight games, with six points (two goals, four assists).
The left-winger is 12th in scoring with Metallurg and the only player in the top twelve who has played under 14 games.

SWEDEN

Alexander Holtz
Holtz is back in the swing of things with Djurgårdens, who had paused due to a COVID-19 outbreak. This past week, Holtz played in two games where he once again was a big factor as an 18-year-old.

Holtz has brought his season totals to eleven points with four goals and seven assists in 15 games after a four-assist week. He continues to inch his way up the ladder to become Djurgardens's point leader. He sits one off the team-leading 13 points by Sebastian Strandberg, the 28-year-old who is in his sixth SHL season.

Holtz is also only one of three players with double-digits in points.
Jesper Boqvist
Boqvist has totaled 10 points in 13 games with Timrå IK in the HockeyAllsvenskan, Sweden's second-highest hockey league. His three goals with Timra puts Boqvist in the team's top ten goal scorers, sitting seventh.
Nikola Pasic
In the last week, Pasic has played three more games with Linköping HC where he added another goal to his season total. In 14 games this season, Pasic has four goals.
His goal this week was a beauty too, clearing himself for a breakaway as his opponent was unable to keep up with his footspeed. Pasic went in on the goalie, shooting five-hole for his fourth goal of the year.

His four goals are the third most on his team and are two off from team leader Broc Little's six goals.

FINLAND

Janne Kuokkanen
On loan with With Kärpät in Liiga, Kuokkanen continues to build on his season totals with a two-point week. The Devils forward prospect added both a goal and two assists over the last few days to bring his season total to six points (three goals, four assists) after 15 games.

Nick Merkley
To say that Nick Merkley is taking advantage of the opportunity to get in gameplay while he's in Finland on loan with Assat would be an understatement.
Merkley joined the Finnish club in late August and has been a top player for the club ever since.
In 18 games with Assat, Merkley has accumulated thirteen points, with four goals and nine assists.

In the last week, Merkley appeared in three games, with a two-point night, in a 4-0 win against KalPa Kuopio on the 20th. He is tied for second in team scoring, just two off the team lead. His overall four goals are tied for third on Assat and his nine assists have him tied in second.
Eetu Päkkilä
With Ilves in Liiga, Pakkila added two more assists to bring his season totals to two goals, six assists, and eight points in 13 games.

SLOVAKIA

Marian Studenic
Studenic has picked up his pace over the last week, to add three points in his last four games. His season totals are now at nine points in 12 games with HC Slovan Bratislava in Slovakia. In his three games last week he contributed two goals and an assist.
His six goals in nine games rank him third on his team.

GERMANY

Nico Daws
Goaltender Nico Daws will be playing with ERC Ingolstadt of the DEL, the top tier league in Germany, until there the Ontario Hockey League season begins.
Once the OHL has a clearer determination of when they will start up their season, Daws will return to the Guelf Storm.
The DEL has not yet started up their season. On 19 November, the DEL announced the 2020-21 season will start December 17th.

SWITZERLAND

Ben Baumgartner
In seven games with Davos, the 2020 draft pick has four points (two goals, two assists) in seven games played.
The National League has had several games postponed over the last week due to COVID-19 exposure and precautionary quarantine.
