Vancouver, B.C.- Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that Roman Kaszczij has been named Head Athletic Therapist. Kaszczij enters his fifth season with the Canucks organization after previously serving as Head Athletic Therapist for the Abbotsford Canucks (2021-2023) and the Head Athletic Trainer for the Utica Comets (2019-2021).

"We are excited to welcome Roman to the Vancouver team in recognition of his commendable progression within the organization," said Allvin. "Roman played an instrumental role in establishing Abbotsford's medical department during their inaugural season and provided unwavering support throughout two Calder Cup Playoff campaigns. We greatly value his ongoing commitment to providing our players with the highest quality care.

Prior to joining the Canucks franchise, Kaszczij worked as an Athletic Therapist/Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Brandon Wheat Kings (2018-2019), an Athletic Therapy Intern for the Hamilton Bulldogs (2016-2018), and an Athletic Therapy Intern for the Toronto Blue Jays (2017).

The Mississauga, ON native obtained his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Kinesiology at McMaster University, where he spent a year with their football team and two years with the men's basketball team. Upon graduation, he attended Sheridan College where he received his Bachelor of Applied Health Sciences (BAHSc), Athletic Therapy.
