The St. Louis Blues have two straight wins, but they'll face one of their toughest tests yet on Saturday when they host the defending Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes (6 p.m., Blue Note+, 101 ESPN).
Head Coach Jim Montgomery - who called the team's win on Thursday "the best game we've played since the (2025) playoffs" - is expected to keep his lineup the same for the third game in a row.
That includes in goal. Joel Hofer will get his third consecutive start in net, Montgomery confirmed.
"This is a real good test for us about being able to do rinse repeat with that same kind of effort and determination," Montgomery said. "And then also do it against Stanley Cup champs. We did it last game against Vegas, Stanley Cup finalists, so I just really like where the schedule just happened to be this time of year for where we're playing."
The Blues held an optional skate on Saturday morning at Enterprise Center. The below lines and defense pairings are based on Friday's practice at Centene Community Ice Center.
