CBJ prospects settle into Columbus, several free agents signed yesterday

by Rachel Bules /

It was a busy week in Columbus, as the 2018 Development Camp for prospects was underway and the Blue Jackets signed a handful of free agents to the team on July 1.

Blue Jackets signed center Riley Nash and defensemen Dillon Simpson, Adam Clendening, and Tommy Cross on the first day of NHL free agency.

Meanwhile, round six draft pick Tim Berni reflected on a developmental week spent in Columbus:

Great week in Columbus Thanks @bluejacketsnhl

Cam Atkinson paid homage to NHL great Martin St. Louis, who will be included in the 2018 induction class to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Speaking of paying homage to exceptional people, Alexander Wennberg documented his Queen Bey and Jay-Z concert experience on Instagram last week.

International Joke Day was on Sunday, and Nick Foligno celebrated in a way that only he can: a dad joke that elicited 50 percent laughs and 50 percent eye rolls from his team.

Good one, Captain.

And finally, in Russia, the Bread Man is trying out a new look. We're here for it.
