The Avs and Hurricanes wrap up their two-game season series on Tuesday. Colorado won the first matchup 2-1 in overtime on Feb. 17 at Carolina. The Avalanche is 10-1-3 all-time at home against the Hurricanes, including wins in 10 of the last 11 home meetings.

Thursday, March 9 vs. New Jersey Devils

Colorado clashes with the New Jersey Devils for the second of two matchups this season. The Devils won the first game 3-2 on Feb. 14. Mark Barberio and Mikhail Grigorenko scored for the Avs. Colorado has won five straight against New Jersey on home ice.

Saturday, March 11 vs. Ottawa Senators

The Avs and Senators play for the second time in 10 days to close out their two-game series. Calvin Pickard made 40 saves in the first matchup on March 2, but Ottawa came away with a 2-1 win.

One meeting remains in the three-game season series between the Avs and the Coyotes, who have split the first two contests. The Avalanche is 21-14-4 on the road in the all-time series and has won four of the last five in the desert.

Community Highlights

The Colorado Avalanche Charity Brunch hosted by the Avs Better Halves will be held Sunday, March 12 at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center. The event includes brunch served by the players and coaches, a fashion show featuring Avalanche players escorting children who have overcome medical challenges, as well as a silent auction. Proceeds benefit the community programs of the Colorado Avalanche and Kroenke Sports Charities.

The Colorado Eagles' win streak was snapped at 17 games with a 4-1 loss to the South Carolina Stingrays on Saturday. Colorado's streak tied the 2007-08 Cincinnati Cyclones for the second-longest winning streak in ECHL history. The Eagles sit in first place in the Mountain Division, five points ahead of the second-place Allen Americans. Their 84 points on the season are second in the league, and Colorado is 30-1-1 when scoring first this season.
