Colorado gets set for a three-game week

MOVING UP IN THE RECORD BOOKS: Matt Duchene notched his 248th career assist in Thursday's contest against the St. Louis Blues, tying Valeri Kamensky for 10th place on the franchise's all-time list.

BARRIE'S STREAK CONTINUES: With an assist against St. Louis, Tyson Barrie extended his point streak to five games, which matches a career high for the third time. (Last: Dec. 23, 2016-Jan. 2, 2017).

SPECIAL TEAMS: The Avalanche has scored a power-play goal in two consecutive games and now has a man-advantage tally in four of its last five outings, going 5-for-25 (20%) in that span. Colorado's power play on home ice ranks eighth in the league with a 26.7-percent success rate at Pepsi Center.

Tuesday, October 24 vs. Dallas Stars

Pepsi Center, 7 p.m. MT, TV: Altitude, Radio: 950 AM

Colorado and Dallas clash for the second of five matchups this season, all of which will take place before the NHL's All-Star Break. The Avs dropped a 3-1 decision to their Central Division opponent on Oct. 14 at American Airlines Center. Colorado has won eight of the last 10 meetings at home in the series.

Friday, October 27 at Vegas Golden Knights

T-Mobile Arena, 4 p.m. MT, TV: Altitude, Radio: 950 AM

The Avalanche makes its first trip to Las Vegas for the first of three regular-season games against the NHL's newest team. The Avs and Golden Knights split a two-game preseason series with each team winning on the road.

Saturday, October 28 vs. Chicago Blackhawks

Pepsi Center, 7 p.m. MT, TV: Altitude, Radio: 950 AM

Colorado hosts another Central Division foe in the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday night at Pepsi Center. After this weekend's contest, the two teams won't square off again until March, where they'll play each other three times during the month.

Avs In The Community

The annual Mile High Dreams Gala - A Toast To Our Teams will take place on Nov. 15 and gives fans the opportunity to mix and mingle with Colorado Avalanche players, coaches, alumni, ice girls and mascot Bernie. The event features food tastings from Denver's best restaurants, a variety of libations, live music, photo stations, casino games and much more. Proceeds benefit the community programs supported by Kroenke Sports Charities.

Player Spotlight: Alexander Kerfoot

Kerfoot registered his first career multi-point game against the St. Louis Blues. His three points are the most recorded in a game by an Avalanche player this season, and he's tied for the team lead with three goals. Kerfoot now has five points (three goals, two assists) in eight games and is tied for ninth in points and fourth in goals among NHL rookies.
