Player Spotlight: Gabriel Landeskog

Landeskog helped Colorado earn seven of a possible eight points on the club's four-game road trip, leading the team with nine points (7g, 2a) on the road swing. The Avalanche captain recorded his third career hat trick against the New Jersey Devils on Thursday night, becoming one of six players in Avalanche history (since 1995-96) to tally three career hat tricks.
Landeskog has scored eight goals in the month of October, his highest total for any month in his career. He also notched his fourth-straight multi-point game against the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday night, the longest streak of multi-point games in his career. He was named the NHL's First Star of the Week on Monday (for the week ending Oct. 21), his first time earning an NHL star of the week honor.

Quotable

"We played some good games on the road. Some of the ones when we were a little bit up and down, our big guys were good, our goaltending was good, our special teams were good. We are doing enough to win, and I still think we got room for improvement. I think a lot to like, a lot to build on but a lot to like for sure." - Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar following the team's four-game road trip
