COMEAU SCORES 5,000TH GOAL IN AVS HISTORY: Blake Comeau's short-handed tally on Thursday night in Edmonton was the 5,000th regular-season goal in Avalanche history (since the franchise relocated to Denver in 1995-96). Only three other NHL teams have scored over 5,000 goals during that time span, Detroit (5,299), Pittsburgh (5,276) and Philadelphia (5,059).

Tuesday, February 6 vs. San Jose Sharks

The Avalanche returns to Pepsi Center for the first time since Jan. 20, hosting the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday. It's the second and final time the Sharks will visit the Mile High City, as the final matchup between the teams will be in San Jose on April 5. Colorado won the first meeting 5-3 on Jan. 18.

Thursday, February 8 at St. Louis Blues

Just two weeks removed from their last matchup, Colorado and St. Louis square off at Scottrade Center again on Thursday, the third of five meetings between the Central Division-opponents. The Blues have won the first two contests and currently hold the third-place spot in the division.

Saturday, February 10 at Carolina Hurricanes

The Avs' three-game road trip continues in Carolina for the first game of a back-to-back series, their ninth such set this season. Colorado is 4-2-2 in 2017-18 in the first game of a back-to-back. Saturday's tilt wraps up the two-game series between the Avs and Hurricanes. Colorado won 5-3 at Pepsi Center on Nov. 2.

Sunday, February 11 at Buffalo Sabres

KeyBank Center, 5 p.m. MT, TV: Altitude, Radio: 950 AM
Colorado closes out its road trip and 2017-18 series against the Buffalo Sabres on Sunday. Buffalo won the first meeting 4-2 on Dec. 5. The Avs are 7-5-2 as the away team in the overall series and have won five of the last seven games on the road.

Player Spotlight: J.T. Compher

Compher has 17 points (10g, 7a) in 38 games this season, including four points (3g, 1a) in his last five outings. He scored his second overtime goal of the year on Thursday night against Edmonton, becoming the first rookie in Avalanche/Nordiques history to score two OT winners in a season (not including playoffs).
