San Antonio Rampage

On Friday, San Antonio lost 2-1 to Tucson in the extra frame despite holding its opponent scoreless on seven man-advantage opportunities. Shawn St-Amant tallied the only goal for the Rampage.
In the second contest in as many days, the Rampage defeated the Roadrunners after 60 scoreless minutes with a power-play goal in overtime from Andrew Agozzino. Chris Bigras and Jesse Graham picked up the assists. The Silver and Black denied seven more man-advantage attempts by Tucson, bring its streak to 16 consecutive kills in the past three contests.
On Monday, the Avalanche made one minor-league move prior to the NHL trade deadline. Colorado sent Bigras to the New York Rangers in exchange for fellow defenseman Ryan Graves, who had been playing with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL this season.

Colorado Eagles (ECHL)

The Colorado Eagles went 3-1 this week after taking on the Wichita Thunder and Tulsa Oilers, each in a two-game series. Netminder Joe Cannata went 2-0 and helped Colorado to a pair of shootout victories.
The Eagles defeated the Wichita Thunder 5-3 on Tuesday and 2-1 in a shootout on Wednesday. Julien Nantel registered an assist in the first match, and Cannata recorded 30 saves and stopped both shootout attempts in the latter contest.
Colorado went into another shootout on Friday with the Tulsa Oilers, and Cannata turned away 29 pucks in regulation and overtime and made saves on three-of-four shootout attempts in the 2-1 win. The Eagles fell 6-3 to the Oilers on Saturday in their last game of the week.
Cannata is 18-3-2 with 2.08 goal-against average that ranks third in the ECHL. His .935 save percentage is first among all goaltenders in the league.

OHL

Travis Barron (Ottawa 67's): Travis Barron recorded his 31st assist of the season on Thursday in the Ottawa 67's 2-1 loss to the Windsor Spitfires. The left wing finished with a plus-2 rating in each of the final two contests of the week, as Ottawa defeated the London Knights 4-2 on Friday and outscored the Kitchener Rangers 5-2 on Sunday. Barron has 45 points (14 goals, 31 assists) in 58 games. The 67's have a 27-24-8 record this campaign and is seventh in the Western Conference.
Conor Timmins (Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds): The Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds remain on top of the Western Conference standings after improving to 49-6-4 this past week. The Greyhounds defeated the Windsor Spitfires 4-2 on Saturday and outscored the London Knights 6-2 on Sunday. Conor Timmins remains out of the lineup with a lower-body injury but has 35 points (six goals, 29 assists) in 30 games.

WHL

Josh Anderson (Swift Current Broncos): Josh Anderson helped the Swift Current Broncos to a 4-2 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Wednesday, but he didn't hit the ice in the squad's 5-3 loss to the Red Deer Rebels on Saturday. Anderson was back in the lineup on Sunday as Swift Current defeated the Edmonton Oil Kings 8-0. The blueliner recorded his 11th assist of the campaign in the match and has 14 points (three goals, 11 assists) in 45 games this season. The Broncos are second in the Eastern Conference with a 44-14-5 record and have clinched a playoff position.
Nick Henry (Regina Pats): The Regina Pats defeated the Saskatoon Blades 7-5 on Friday before falling 3-2 to the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday. Nick Henry hit the ice for both contests and has 25 points (11 goals, 14 assists) in 45 games this campaign. The Pats are 33-25-6 this season and sit in third place in the Eastern Conference.
Ty Lewis (Brandon Wheat Kings): Ty Lewis didn't make an appearance in the Brandon Wheat Kings' 7-2 loss to the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday or in the club's 4-3 overtime win against the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday. The forward returned on Sunday as the Wheat Kings defeated the Calgary Hitmen 6-3 and recorded two tallies and seven shots in the victory. He has 34 goals and 50 helpers in 60 contests this season, leading the team in assists and points (84) and is second on the squad in goals. Lewis ranks ninth in points in the WHL this season and has helped Brandon to a 33-24-5 record. The Wheat Kings are presently in the first wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference.

NCAA

Shane Bowers (Boston University): Boston University recorded a win and a tie against Vermont last weekend in its final games before the Hockey East Tournament begins. Shane Bowers put four shots on goal on Friday in the club's 2-0 win and recorded an assist in the 1-1 tie on Saturday. The freshman forward has 27 points (16 goals, 11 assists) through 34 games with the Terriers. Boston University finished the regular season in fourth place in the Hockey East standings with a 12-8-4 conference record and a 17-13-4 overall record. The Terriers have a bye in the first round of the conference tournament and will host UConn in a best-of-three series in the quarterfinals on March 9-11.
Cale Makar (UMass): Cale Makar registered his fourth goal of the season in the Minutemen's 3-2 victory over UConn on Thursday, and UMass defeated Providence on Saturday, 1-0. The defenseman has recorded four goals and 14 assists through 29 games this campaign. UMass is 9-13-2 against Hockey East opponents this year and is 15-17-2 overall. UMass plays Vermont in the opening round of the Hockey East Tournament on Thursday.
Cam Morrison (Notre Dame): Cam Morrison recorded three points in two contests last week as Notre Dame split a two-game series with Michigan State before the start of the Big Ten Tournament. Morrison recorded two goals in a 6-3 victory on Friday and had an assist on Saturday in the Fighting Irish's 4-3 loss. Morrison has 20 points (seven goals, 13 assists) through 34 contests this season. Notre Dame finished first in the Big Ten standings with a 17-6-1 conference record and 23-9-3 overall. The Irish earned a first-round bye and will host a semifinal matchup the weekend of March 9.
Denis Smirnov (Penn State): Penn State defeated Minnesota 5-1 on Friday and 5-2 on Saturday. Denis Smirnov recorded a tally and a helper in the latter contest, and the sophomore forward continues to lead the team in goals (14) and is fourth in points (25) after 26 games. Penn State ended the regular season fourth in the Big Ten with 9-10-5 record in the conference and a 16-13-5 mark overall. The Nittany Lions will face Minnesota again this weekend as they host the Gophers in a best-of-three series in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament.

USHL

Nate Clurman (Sioux City Musketeers): Nate Clurman was traded for the second time this season as the Des Moines Buccaneers sent the D-man to Sioux City Musketeers on Tuesday. Clurman recorded an assist on Friday in his first full game in a Musketeer sweater as Sioux City defeated the Muskegon Lumberjacks 4-1 in the first contest of a two-game series between the clubs. The Musketeers lost the second match on Saturday, 6-2. Clurman's initial Sioux City debut was cut short against the Madison Capitols on Wednesday, as the game was suspended with 34 seconds left in the first period due to a problem with the ice. In just less than 20 minutes of play, Madison had a 2-1 advantage that would stand until the game resumed on Monday. Sioux City ended up picking up a 5-4 overtime win when the contest resumed, with Clurman finishing with an assist. The blueliner has recorded one goal and two assists in 15 games with the Buccaneers, three assists in 23 games with the Tri-City Storm, and two assists in three games with Sioux City. He's totaled eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 43 USHL contests this season.

BCHL

Nick Leivermann (Penticton Vees): Nick Leivermann has registered eight points (three goals and five assists) in seven games with the Penticton Vees since returning from an upper-body injury. Leivermann started the week by recording two assists on Wednesday as the Vees defeated the Salmon Arm Silverbacks 8-1. The defenseman added another helper on Saturday as Penticton outscored the Wenatchee Wild 5-1, and he found the back of the net for his 10th goal of the season on Sunday in a 5-4 double-overtime loss to the Silverbacks. Leivermann had 37 points (10 goals, 27 assists) in 43 games during the regular season and ranked in the top 10 in defensemen scoring in the BCHL. The blueliner was second on the Vees in D-man points and had the most points for a rookie defenseman in the league, despite missing 14 games. Penticton clinched the Interior Division championship and the No. 1 playoff position after posting a 40-12-3-3 regular season record. The Vees will play the Coquitlam Express in the first round of the playoffs beginning Friday.

KHL

Igor Shvyrev (Mettallurg Magnitogorsk): Mettallurg Magnitogorsk wraps up its Olympic break this week and will resume play on Tuesday against Ugra Khanty-Mansiysk. Mettallurg is in sixth place in the East with a record of 30-24-0. Igor Shvyrev has one goal in 30 games in the KHL this season. Shvyrev has also played with Magnitogorsk's junior club, where he has five goals and 12 assists in 10 MHL games this season.

Sweden (Allsvenskan)

Gustav Olhaver (IK Oskarshamn): Gustav Olhaver helped IK Oskarshamn to a 3-2 overtime win on Wednesday versus Timra, but he didn't hit the ice with the squad in a 6-0 victory over Sodertalje on Friday. The forward has 13 points (six goals, seven assists) in 45 contests this season.
Adam Werner (IF Bjorkloven): Adam Werner made 30 saves in IF Bjorkloven's 2-1 loss to IK Pantern on Wednesday. The netminder was in the crease again on Friday and made 19 stops to help the squad to a 3-2 overtime win over Almtuna. Werner is 23-20 this season and has recorded three shutouts, a 2.35 goals-against average and .912 save percentage.

Czech Republic

Petr Kvaca (HC Ceske Budejovice): Petr Kvaca made 18 saves in HC Ceske Budejovice's 4-1 loss to Rytiri Kladno on Wednesday. The goaltender didn't play on Saturday in a 5-3 loss to Prerov. Kvaca is now 22-10 on the season with a goals-against average of 1.75 and a .923 save percentage. He also has five shutouts. Budejovice will play AZ Residomo in the opening round of the playoffs.

Slovakia

Maximilian Pajpach (HK Spisska Nova Ves): Maximillian Pajpach has a record 6-13-3 after HK Spisska Nova Ves fell in quarterfinals last week. The netminder's performances earned him a 3.98 goals-against average and .895 save percentage during the regular season. He also played seven games with Michalovce and had a 2.73 goals-against average and .912 save percentage.
