Register today for the 5th Annual Minnesota Wild Breakaway 10K/5K/1-Mile Run, benefiting the Herb Brooks Foundation. The race takes place on Saturday, September 15, beginning at 8:30 a.m. as part of a day of events which also includes our regular season single-game ticket on-sale, open training camp practices at Xcel Energy Center and This Is Our Ice water collection.
All participants will receive a Wild Breakaway t-shirt and a limited edition Herb Brooks bobblehead, commemorating Herb's legendary pose following Team U.S.A.'s historic victory.
Please note: Participants must register by Sunday, August 19, 2018 to guarantee the shirt size of their choice. Anyone who registers after that date will receive a shirt but we cannot guarantee sizes.
This year's course will be an out and back with the start/finish line positioned on eastbound Kellogg Blvd. across the street from Gate 1 of Xcel Energy Center. The course will take runners on a scenic route across the Wabasha Street Bridge, with 5K and 10K participants continuing past Harriet Island and into Lilydale Regional Park.
All 5K and 10K runners will tackle Herbie's Hill, now situated on the inbound trek up the Wabasha Street Bridge. The male and female runner at each distance with the best split time up the hill will receive a $50 gift card to Herbie's On The Park.
The race stage, race day registration, vendor tents and portable restrooms will be located adjacent to the start/finish line, on top of the RiverCentre Parking Ramp.
Race packet pick-up, which includes shirts and bobbleheads, will be held on Friday, September 14, outside the Hockey Lodge at Gate 1 of Xcel Energy Center from 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and on race day from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. at the registration tent in Breakaway Race Village near the start/finish line.
