Little Wild Learn To Play Program

The Minnesota Wild, in partnership with Hy-Vee, Minnesota Hockey, CCM, Pure Hockey, NHL, and NHLPA, are pleased to announce the return of the Little Wild Learn To Play program for its fifth season. The 2018 Little Wild Learn To Play program will expand to 20 locations across the State of Hockey. Dates, times and locations are listed below. Registration will open on Monday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m.

The Little Wild program is intended for first-time boys and girls hockey players ages 5-8. Eligible participants must be between the ages of 5-8 as of September 1, 2018. All past Little Wild participants, or children who have participated in organized hockey, are ineligible to participate. Those in violation of this rule will not be allowed to participate and their registration fee will not be refunded.

For the low cost of $125, all participants will receive four one-hour on-ice sessions led by the Minnesota Hockey ADM team, a full set of CCM hockey equipment, and a free ticket to a Minnesota Wild pre-season home game. Kids who do not have skating experience are encouraged to take skating lessons prior to their first Little Wild on-ice session.

New to the program this year, the Minnesota Wild will host its first-ever Little Wild Graduation Ceremony held at Roy Wilkins Auditorium in Saint Paul on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Following the graduation ceremony, all Little Wild participants are invited to enjoy a Minnesota Wild pre-season game at Xcel Energy Center as part of Kids Day presented by US Bank. All Little Wild participants who attend the graduation ceremony will receive a free ticket to the game. Participants may purchase up to two additional tickets at a special price exclusive to Little Wild participants. Limited ticket inventory is available. While supplies last.

Equipment fitting will be held at Pure Hockey in Burnsville the weekends of August 10-12 and 17-19. Dates are subject to change. All registered participants will receive an email this summer notifying them how and when they can schedule a fitting.
