Hockey Is for Everyone Night • February 27 vs. Los Angeles Kings
Everyone means everyone.
With that in mind, the Minnesota Wild and NHL team up annually to present Hockey Is for Everyone, a league-wide initiative focused on creating a safe, positive and inclusive environment for all who cherish this great game. The State of Hockey welcomes fans, players, coaches and families from every community and proudly supports the following organizations as part of this effort. Each group will be honored during the Wild's home game Feb. 27 against the Los Angeles Kings, and fans can visit the concourse tables behind Sections 104 and 113 that night to learn more.
You Can Play works to ensure the safety and inclusion of all in sports -- including LGBTQ athletes, coaches and fans -- and works to guarantee that athletes are given a fair opportunity to compete and are judged only by what they contribute to the sport or their team's success. For 2017, Wild forward Charlie Coyle is the team's official You Can Play ambassador. In addition, fans attending the Feb. 27 game against the Kings can purchase You Can Play skate guards ($25 each) or hockey lace bracelets (one for $10, two for $15).
