The Utah Mammoth announced today that Utah native and recently retired NHL forward Trevor Lewis will join the organization to assist hockey operations in video scouting on a part-time basis and help grow hockey programming as a Youth and Amateur Hockey Ambassador.
“Trevor Lewis fell in love with the game of hockey right here in Utah," said Chris Armstrong, president of hockey operations for the Utah Mammoth. "He went on to win two Stanley Cups over the span of his 17-year NHL career, retiring as the most accomplished player ever from this state. Being able to tap into the mind and championship experience of someone who cares so personally and so deeply about the continuous growth of hockey in Utah, and who knows what it would mean to bring a Stanley Cup to the fans here, is both a rare opportunity and a natural fit for us.”
About Trevor Lewis:
- Lewis, 39, announced his retirement from professional hockey at the end of the 2025-26 season, following a 17-year NHL career.
- He registered 104-133–237 in 1,034 career games with the Los Angeles Kings, Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets from 2008-25. Lewis helped the Kings to their only two Stanley Cups in 2012 and 2014, as he became the first Utahn to make a Stanley Cup Final appearance.
- He also skated in six ECHL games for the Utah Grizzlies during the NHL’s lockout in 2012-13.
- Among the six Utah-born NHL players all-time, Lewis ranks first in career games played and second in points. He is also the highest NHL Draft selection of any Utahn, taken by Los Angeles with the 17th overall pick in 2006.
- Lewis was raised in Cottonwood Heights and played for Brighton High School’s club team as a freshman in 2002, leading the Bengals to a berth in the state championship game.
