Synchronized Skating

Synchronized skating is an exciting team sport that offers athletes an additional competitive opportunity to compliment their single skating. It is also one of the fastest growing collegiate, national and world level sports! There are over 5,000 skaters competing on various teams. There are more than 525 synchronized teams in the U.S. and there are many different competitive levels available. Skaters will use the skills they already have to create intricate programs consisting of elements like circles, wheels, lines and blocks. You may even see lifts and jumps! Shawnee is a triple USFS Gold medalist in Freestyle, Dance, and Moves in the Field. She had the distinct honor to compete on Team USA 1, The Haydenttes! Shawnee and her team were the 2012 National Champions and World bronze medalists. As a Haydenette, Shawnee competed in Switzerland, Sweden, and Canada. She also competed at the collegiate level, and was a National Collegiate medalist with her respective teams in 2013 2014, & 2015. 

Of her experience as a top Synchronized athlete, Shawnee says: "Skating at such an elite level, doing something I love so much, was an amazing experience."
