Scott Hamilton Skating Academy Learn to Skate program presented by CAT Financial, the #1 Learn to Skate program in the South! All locations use the Learn to Skate USA curriculum.

  • Antioch: Monday, Wednesday & Saturday
  • Bellevue: Tuesday, Thursday
  • Clarksville: Monday, Wednesday & Sunday

Prices for all locations

  • $150 + tax | 6-week session x 1 scheduled class per week (6 classes total)
  • $254.80 + tax | 6-week session x 3 scheduled classes per week (18 classes total)

Learn to Skate Levels

All athletes new to Learn to Skate, regardless of experience, should register for the program based on age/experience prerequisites:

  • Scott's Tots (Levels 1-4) | NEW SKATERS (Ages 3-6)
  • Basic Skills (Levels 1-6) | NEW SKATERS (Ages 7-15)
  • Free Skate (Pre-Free Skate - Free Skate 6) | After Basics
  • Hockey | NEW PLAYERS (All Ages - Must Have Completed Basic Level 3)
  • Adults | NEW TO EXPERIENCED (Ages 16+)
  • All Stars | Adaptive Program (Bellevue Only)

Scott Hamilton Skate Academy is offering a GOLD MEDAL special of 50% off registration fees for Learn to Skate classes.

Scott's All Stars

Our mission is to make skating available to people of all ages, abilities and descriptions, while creating an environment of joy through learning to skate. Designed to support our community of families with any adaptive or other special needs, Scott’s All-Stars program aims to enhance growth in social, emotional and physical well-being of each athlete.

Try Skating for Free!

We are excited to offer Try Skating for Free classes on Mondays in Antioch and Tuesdays in Bellevue during selected bye weeks. Altheses who attend will have the opportunity to register for GOLD MEDAL Specials for the following Learn to Skate session.

How to Register
  • Create an account at Ford Ice Center. Add family members to your account and complete an online waiver for each participant.
  • Register for your class! Open enrollment registration is available online for your convenience.
  • One time yearly fee of $27 for the LTS USA membership | Valid July 1st through June 30th each year. After you have purchased each athlete membership, it unlocks class registration opportunities.
What to Expect
  • Complimentary skate rental with class registration
  • 30-minute group instruction
  • Includes unlimited number of public sessions during 6-week session to practice skills for registered athlete only.
  • Learn to Skate USA Basic Skills Membership, liability insurance, sticker book

Upon arrival to the rink:

Step 1: Check in with the SHSA representative near skate rental!

Step 2: Pick up rental skates

Step 3: Find the roster with your name on it! Your coach will meet you at the roster!

Step 4: Have fun!

Friendly Reminders:

  • Return skates after class
  • Keep your nametag for all 6 weeks of class!

What to bring:

  • Gloves
  • Helmet
  • Long socks
  • Long pants and jacket

Makeup Policy:

We understand that conflicts may arise during a learn to skate session. Unfortunately, we cannot offer make-up classes. Class registration allows athletes to attend public sessions for duration of the 6 week session.
