Brink signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on April 10, 2022, after he was a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award voted as the top men's player in NCAA ice hockey as a junior for the University of Denver. The second-round pick (No. 34) of the Flyers in the 2019 NHL Draft led the NCAA with 57 points (14 goals, 43 assists) in 41 games in 2021-22 and had 35 points (nine goals, 26 assists) during conference play, the most in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference.
In three seasons, Brink had 93 points (27 goals, 66 assists) in 84 games (1.10 points per game) and helped Denver win the NCAA Division I men's hockey championship for the ninth time in the program's history, tying Michigan's NCAA record.
