Status report
Barron participated in the Jets morning skate wearing a no-contact jersey. Coach Rick Bowness said the forward who's been out since Oct. 30 should be be available to play Tuesday. ... DeMelo will return to the lineup for the first time since sustaining an upper-body injury Nov. 13. ... Wedgewood will back up Oettinger on Friday and is expected to start Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche. It would be his first start since leaving the ice on a stretcher due to back spasms Nov. 17.
