Kessel throws daughter's birthday party with Stanley Cup

Phil Kessel decided to skip out on the hot dogs this time around.

The three-time Stanley Cup champion brought the Stanley Cup back to Toronto for a quiet celebration on Tuesday.

Kessel, his long-time girlfriend, Sandra, and their daughter, Kapri, posed for a picture with the Cup and their three dogs.

Later in the day, the couple hosted a first birthday party for their daughter with Lord Stanley, naming it "Kapri's Cupchella."

This is the second time Kessel has taken the Cup to Toronto, where he played six seasons with the Maple Leafs from 2009-15. In 2016,

he brought the trophy to The Hospital for Sick Children

after winning his first championship with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Guess Kessel decided to pass on birthday cake out of the Cup.
