It was a meal fit for a king, eaten by a knight.

Vegas Golden Knights forward William Karlsson was served a meal in Sweden right out of the Stanley Cup.

Karlsson was packing it away as he had forks in both hands, then had two people in chefs shirts also feeding him what appeared to be sausage and potatoes.

The team shared a video of Karlsson's epic meal on social media.

Karlsson also couldn't resist bringing the trophy to his hometown rink, where the youth team that he sponsors got an up close and personal look at the Cup.

"It was a no-brainer to take the trophy here. This is where it all started, this is where I grew up and started playing, this is where I have my roots," Karlsson said.

The veteran forward was humbled and thankful returning to the rink of his youth.

"This is the arena where I ran around as a child. I was about two years old when I went ice skating with my father for the first time," he said. "I entered the hockey school here when I was five. We lived only ten minutes from here, so I spent a lot of time in this rink. Mom and dad drove and supported. They are the main reason why I am standing here today."

To this day Karlsson sponsors the Arlanda Wings hockey program.

"Being active here and helping out with the hockey school is a way for me to give back to the club. It should be easy and fun to play hockey; that's the most important thing," he said.
