Lightning select D Dmitry Semykin in third round

Playing last season in the Russian Jr. League, Semykin recorded eight goals and seven assists

In the Third Round of the 2018 NHL Draft, the Tampa Bay Lightning went defense, selecting 6-foot-3, 201-pound blueliner Dmitry Semykin from Stupino 2 of the Russian Jr. League with pick No. 90.

Semykin, an 18-year-old right-handed shot, racked up eight goals, seven assists, 118 penalty minutes and was plus-4 with Stupino 2 during the 2017-18 season.
Semykin was ranked the 25th-best European skater in the Draft by NHL Central Scouting.
