Barzal, Bellows score in a 3-1 win over the Rangers

ELMONT N.Y. -- Ilya Sorokin made 28 saves for the New York Islanders in a 3-1 win against the New York Rangers at UBS Arena on Saturday.

Kieffer Bellows and Mathew Barzal scored, and Josh Bailey had two assists for the Islanders in their preseason finale (4-2-0).
Kaapo Kakko scored for the Rangers, who finished 2-3-1. Igor Shesterkin made 13 saves.
Bellows finished a pass from Sebastian Aho at 9:06 of the first period to give the Islanders a 1-0 lead.
Barzal made it 2-0 with a wrist shot from the left circle at 16:16.
Sorokin made 12 saves in the second period to preserve the two-goal lead.
Zach Parise scored at 4:28 of the third period to make it 3-0.
Kakko cut it to 3-1 with his third goal of the preseason at 6:50.
