The Vegas Golden Knights bounced back with a 3-2 win against the Colorado Avalanche in Game 3 on Friday night at T-Mobile Arena. Colorado leads the series, 2-1.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
Vegas and Colorado saw the first period pass without a goal, but William Karlsson broke the scoreless tie at 4:38 of the second period. Carl Soderberg answered less than two minutes later and Mikko Rantanen gave the Avalanche the lead early in the third period. With less than five minutes to play, Jonathan Marchessault banked a shot in off Philipp Grubauer to tie the game at 2-2. Max Pacioretty tipped in a shot from Nick Holden just 45 seconds later to give the Golden Knights a 3-2 lead. Marc-Andre Fleury slammed the door late to lock in a 3-2 win for Vegas.
