We've got the latest Sens news and notes before today's 2 p.m. start at Canadian Tire Centre against the Winnipeg Jets.

Jaros returns

Some good news on the injury front today as Christian Jaros has been cleared to return and will be in the line-up against the Jets this afternoon. Jaros suffered a lower-body injury against the Red Wings last week and, after briefly returning, missed the third period as well as the team's games against the Leafs and Ducks this week.
"I had a bit of a problem with my knee and ankle from when I hit the boards," recalled Jaros after yesterday's skate. "It feels much better now and I've been skating the past few days and it's feeling very good."
"I just tried to move right away so it didn't get too tight there," he continued. "It felt fine but the more I continued to play in the game I started to feel more pain and it was getting a little bit swollen too."
Jaros has appeared in 39 games for the Senators and currently ranks 5th on the team in hits (72) and 6th in blocked shots (55).

Projected Line-up

Jaros' return obviously impacts today's line-up and with Jack Rodewald sidelined after sustaining an injury in Thursday's game against the Ducks, the Sens have recalled Darren Archibald from Belleville. Sens head coach Guy Boucher met with the media this morning at Canadian Tire Centre and confirmed that Jaros will be one of the 7 active defencemen today and that he'll roll with 11 forwards up front so Archibald is expected to be the lone scratch this afternoon.

Here's a look at the projected forward lines and defence pairings for today's game:
Dzingel - Duchene - Ryan
Tkachuk - White - Stone
Smith - Pageau - Paajarvi
Balcers - Tierney
Chabot - DeMelo
Lajoie - Ceci
Borowiecki - Harpur

In Goal

After a stellar 45-save shutout against the Ducks on Thursday, Anders Nilsson (8-12-1) is right back in the crease for the Senators today against the Jets. In 9 appearances since joining the Sens in early January, Nilsson has racked up a .934 save percentage and a 2.23 goals against average and looks to lock down his 4th win in his last 5 starts when he faces Winnipeg this afternoon.
