The Sens look to end their latest skid, some injured players might be on the cusp of a return and more in today's Game Day 5.

1. Finding a way

Following Tuesday night's loss in St. Louis, the Sens met with the media post-game and addressed the team's current situation.
"It's frustrating for the people watching, it's frustrating for the media and it's even more frustrating for us," said Mark Borowiecki after dropping a 3-0 decision to the Blues. "We don't know why it's happening because if we did it'd be a lot easier to fix."
Since returning from their bye week, the Sens have lost four games in a row and are once again searching for answers to end another rough patch this season.
"When things aren't going the way you want to you still have to come to work and you have to battle," said Craig Anderson. "We have to come to work, put on our work boots and if it's not good enough that night we have to make sure that our work ethic is good enough so that we can look at ourselves in the mirror and know that we left everything out there."
With 36 games remaining on their schedule, there is still plenty of hockey left to be played this season.
"We know that there's a long way to go left in the season and it's tough right now for everyone," said Erik Karlsson on the mounting losses. "We step out there and can't seem to get anything going."
The team's veterans are the first to admit that something needs to change and they'll have another opportunity to start righting the ship tonight against the Bruins.
"It's such a long, arduous season that even at the best of times it wears on you mentally and physically," said Borowiecki. "The message is clear: we need to own this. We have to take ownership of our situation and we need to do what needs to be done to change it."

3. On the mend

There's no official word yet but if the timelines that Sens head coach Guy Boucher shared earlier this week hold true, there's a chance that the Sens could receive some re-enforcements tonight.
Mark Stone, Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Nate Thompson were all listed as possible for returns tonight and with the depleted forward roster struggling to score goals this week, any of them would be a welcome sight to the line-up.
Stone, the Sens leading scorer this season, suffered a lower-body injury last weekend against the Maple Leafs and missed both games on the team's back-to-back road trip.
"There's a possibility for Thursday," Boucher shared on Tuesday in St. Louis. "It's really the swelling. It's not a structural problem that we have to wait for it to heal. It's the inflammation."
Pageau and Thompson stayed in Ottawa to rehab while the team was in Minnesota and St. Louis this week so we'll hopefully learn more about their statuses today while Filip Chlapik, who sustained an upper-body injury on Monday, could also potentially be in the mix for a return tonight.

4. Previous meeting

It's been nearly a month since these teams last met with the Bruins handing the Sens a 5-0 defeat back on December 30th at Canadian Tire Centre. Ottawa is 0-2-0 against Boston this season and has been outscored 10-1 in those two games so they have a big task ahead of them in facing one of the league's hottest teams.
