Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith was offered the option of an in-person hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Wednesday for an incident with Minnesota Wild forward Charlie Coyle during a game Tuesday at Xcel Energy Center.
Keith was offered the opportunity for an in-person hearing as required by provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for any suspension that can exceed five games.

The incident occurred at 9:27 of the first period. Keith was assessed a match penalty on the play.
Minnesota won the game 4-1.
The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: high sticking. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
