Glendening

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed forward Luke Glendening to a professional tryout agreement (PTO), vice president and general manager Julien BriseBois announced today. 

Glendening, 37, skated in 70 games between the New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia Flyers last season, recording nine points and winning 52.8% of his faceoffs. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound forward has appeared in 934 career NHL contests between the Devils, Flyers, Lightning, Dallas Stars and Detroit Red Wings, registering 85 goals and 175 points with 12 game-winning tallies.

A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Glendening played in 158 games with Tampa Bay from 2023-25, logging 14 goals and 18 points while winning a team-high 56.5% of his faceoffs. He has also appeared in 60 career Stanley Cup Playoff games, recording seven goals and 11 points.

Glendening was originally undrafted before signing a one-year, two-way contract with Detroit on July 5, 2013.
