Brian Elliott recorded his first shutout of the season - and 43rd of his career - to lead the Lightning to their lone win last week.

Elliott stopped all 28 shots he faced, as the Bolts snapped a four-game losing streak with a 5-0 win over the Sabres at AMALIE Arena on Sunday evening.

BUF@TBL: Elliott gets his 1st shutout with Tampa Bay

His best save of the night came just prior to the midway point of the first period with the game still scorless. Jacob Bryson found Rasmus Apslund open on the far side of the ice just inside the right face-off dot. Elliott fully stretched to his left to get his glove on the shot and then fell on the rebound to deny Buffalo the game-opening goal.
With the win, Elliott improved his record this season to 8-3-3.
