PK Blazer

Paul Kennedy (who is one of my dearest friends in the entire world) has been a fixture on Lightning telecasts since 2003 and before that, he covered the team during the inaugural 1992-93 season. But working on Lightning telecasts has been just one part of his extensive broadcasting career, which has spanned more than 40 years. In this conversation, we talked about that illustrious career. We also discussed his childhood in Northern Virginia, how he broke into sports broadcasting, and his many interests that are outside the world of sports. Hear about his chance encounter with Vince Lombardi in 1970, his insatiable appetite for reading, how he qualified for - but couldn't participate in - the 100th running of the Boston Marathon, and how we became such close friends. Thanks so much to PK for taking the time to do this with me!
