Philadelphia Flyers forward Carsen Twarynski has been selected by the Seattle Kraken in the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft. The announcement was made during a live show that revealed the entire roster of the NHL's 32nd team.

"Ron and his group in Seattle have put a lot of time and effort into their preparation and with Carsen they have added a good, young piece to their team," said President of Hockey Operations and General Manager, Chuck Fletcher. "Carsen is a hard-working player who has grown considerably in his four seasons since he was drafted in our organization. We wish nothing but the best for him in Seattle."

Twarynski departs the Flyers after spending the last four seasons in the organization after being selected in the 3rd Round (82nd overall) in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

He appeared in seven games last season, going scoreless and averaged 8:51 of ice time during that time. He also spent most of the 2020-21 season on the club's Taxi Squad.

Twarynski has made the Flyers roster from training camp in each of the last two seasons and has recorded one goal in 22 career regular season games for the Flyers in that span.

He appeared in 15 games for the Flyers in 2019-20, including his NHL debut on Oct. 4, 2019 vs. Chicago in the NHL Global Series at Prague, Czech Republic.

He also spent parts of four seasons with the club's American Hockey League affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, where he appeared in 107 games and posted 38 points (18g-20a) to go along with 62 penalty minutes since making his pro debut in 2017-18.
