1. ANOTHER POINT CLOSER
The Flyers enter tonight's game with a chance to move within three points of the wild card race with a win, plus a Blue Jackets regulation loss at NY Islanders tonight, which would be the closest they have come to being in playoff position since Nov. 20... If the Flyers come within four points of the wild card tonight it would be the closest they have come since Dec. 13... They have 14 games remaining, 10 of which are against teams in playoff position, seven of which are against teams in the Metro or fighting for a wild card position.

2. ENTERING TONIGHT
The Flyers enter tonight with a 5-1-1 record in their last seven games, and are looking for two straight wins after a 5-2 victory on Long Island on Saturday... They dropped their last home game (5-3 vs. WSH), but have not dropped two straight home games in over two months, since Jan. 5-7, going 10-3-1 in Philadelphia since those back-to-back losses... The Sens enter tonight's game having lost three straight games in last place in the NHL standings with the least amount of wins (23) and points (52) and are the only team officially eliminated from the Playoffs.
3. DEPLETED ARMY
The Sens are also a much different team than when the Flyers last saw them, thanks to the trade deadline... The Sens traded away three of their top four leading scorers, including their top two (Matt Duchene: CBJ & Mark Stone: VGK)... Combined, the three players traded away accounted for 77 of their 187 total teams goals (41.2%) at Feb. 24 and a total of 164 points... Second-year defenseman, Thomas Chabot, now leads the team in scoring with 48 points (13g-35a) in 61 games - he is one of two d-men (SJ: Burns) to lead his team in scoring.
4. WHEN LAST WE MET
This is the first meeting since Nov. 27 in Philadelphia, the second meeting at the Wells Fargo Center, and final meeting of the season against the Sens... The two clubs are split in the season series with each team winning on each other's home ice... Both team's enter tonight with a different head coach since last time these two teams met (PHI: Dave Hakstol-Scott Gordon, OTT: Guy Boucher-Marc Crawford)... There are also a combined 15 players who are no longer on the team's rosters who participated in the season series - Six players who are no longer on the Flyers roster, including both goaltenders (Pickard, Stolarz), while there are nine Senators who are no longer on the roster who have played in the season series.
5. PLAYERS TO WATCH:
FLYERS (LW: #28 - Claude Giroux)
Giroux gets the nod again after extending his point streak to seven straight games... He has 12 points (3g-9a) in that stretch, including an assist in each of the seven games... Against the Sens, he has three points (1g-2a) in the season series, and has eight points (4g-4a) in his last eight games against Ottawa... He is one point shy of reaching 400 points at the Wells Fargo Center, excluding three points (2g-1a) recorded in the two outdoor games held in Philadelphia (2012 & 2019).
SENATORS (LW: #7 - Brady Tkachuk)
The youngest Tkachuk son has points in three straight games (2g-1a), including goals in two straight...
