Every Goal Makes a Difference for military kids

Navy Federal Credit Union and the NHL are teaming up again this season to recognize the outstanding community service of hockey fans and military members through the NHL Stick Tap for Service™ program.

This year, we’re helping military kids stay active in sports by donating $100 to the United Heroes League for every goal scored during the opening round of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs—up to $50,000.

The United Heroes League helps military kids stay in the game by giving them the equipment, camps and support they need to play. Donations made during the NHL Playoffs will help bring these opportunities to even more families across the US.

When goals hit the back of the net, they spark real impact beyond the rink. Each $100 donation can help fund a sports camp, cover a $50 professional game ticket or provide roughly $40 in sports gear—supporting military kids as they play, grow and live active lives.

Why Stick Tap?

Fans know that a tap of hockey sticks between players, on the ice or against the boards, is a sign of approval or applause. We’re translating that into a way to acknowledge the incredible contributions of hockey fans and military members with NHL Stick Tap for Service™.
