Los Angeles Wildfire Nonprofit Support

On behalf of their family and the Anaheim Ducks, Henry and Susan Samueli express their heartfelt support for those affected by the devastation caused by the Los Angeles fires. Having both been raised in Los Angeles and started their family there, they share a deep connection to the city and acknowledge the many fans, staff, and colleagues impacted across the region. The Samuelis also express their profound gratitude to the brave firefighters and first responders working tirelessly to protect the community, as well as the numerous nonprofit and community organizations providing critical support to those in need.

The Anaheim Ducks Foundation and the Samueli Foundation have teamed up to support wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles with a combined donation of $500,000. These funds will benefit key organizations working on the frontlines, including the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, Team Rubicon, Best Friends Animal Society, and Pasadena Humane, all of whom are aiding victims, displaced families, and first responders.

Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation

The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) Foundation provides vital equipment and funds programs, including life-saving equipment, mental health support, and funding other critical tools and programs that help the LAFD save lives and build resilient communities.

Team Rubicon

Team Rubicon is a veteran-led humanitarian organization that serves global communities before, during, and after disasters and crises. In response to the local wildfires, Team Rubicon is administering education and fire risk assessment in vulnerable communities, community check point and food pantry support, management and logistics of long-term donation supplies, and sandbag operations to prevent further ash flow into the watershed.

Best Friends Animal Society in Los Angeles

Best Friends Animal Society is a leading animal welfare organization working to end the killing of dogs and cats in America’s shelters in 2025.  In Los Angeles, Best Friends’ is operating a pet pantry out of the Best Friends Pet Adoption Center in West L.A. for community members affected by the fires, as well as taking in adoptable pets from many LA area shelters to help free up space and alleviate stress in the shelters during this crisis.
