Who are the Power Players?

The Power Players are a high-energy promotional team that assist the Ducks in-game entertainment presentation during home games and promote the Ducks at community events. The primary responsibilities of the Power Players are to generate excitement and engagement with fans. Additional responsibilities may include cleaning the ice and doing on ice promotions during home games.
 

Requirements
  • Must be a high school graduate
  • Comfortable in front of large crowds
  • Physically fit/athletic
  • Flexible schedule - available to work nights, weekends and holidays as required
  • Passionate about the Anaheim Ducks
     
Qualities of a Power Player
  • Energetic and outgoing personality
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Positive attitude
  • Motivated
  • Team player
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Skating experience preferred
  • Dance/cheer experience a plus
  • Ice skating skills are a plus

What is the difference between the Power Players and the Ice Crew?  
The Ice Crew is a team of skilled ice skaters who clean the ice surface during media time-outs during Ducks home games and assist with on-ice promotions during Ducks home games.

Can a Power Player skate on the ice during Ducks games?
Of course! If you are interested in skating on the ice during games you must have ice skating skills and audition on the ice in front of the judges. 
 
What should we expect at auditions?
Ice Auditions

  • 9 am at Great Park, July 31st
  • Bring your skates (hockey skates preferred) 
  • Bring a headshot if you have one
  • Skating auditions will take place at Rink 4 of Great Park Ice
  • Interview with judges
  • Each candidate will participate in ice skating drills noting overall skating ability

 Promotional Auditions

  • 11 am at Great Park Ice, July 31st
  • Bring a headshot if you have one
  • Prepare a talent to show off your personality to the judges
  • 45 seconds or less and no props
  • Examples of a talent can include, but are not limited to, jokes, impressions, singing, dancing
  • Interview with judges
  • Improv activities

What should I wear to auditions?
For the skating auditions please wear any of the following: black workout or warm-up style pants and a white or black shirt with a black jacket (optional).

For the promotional auditions please wear black workout style pants or shorts and white or black shirt with athletic style tennis shoes.
