82 Game Odyssey will chronicle the Devils as they embark upon a season full of promise. It will provide viewers with unparalleled access. Each episode will comprise an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to build - and to play for - a team on the rise, and will feature interviews with players and front-office staff that won't be seen anywhere else.
"We want fans to understand what it's really like to be here," said general manager Ray Shero. "There's excitement around the team, but it's also exciting for us to be able to show our fans something other teams in the NHL and other leagues aren't doing. This is about connecting our players, coaches and staff with our fan base."
Episode 1 will set the scene for the season, introducing fans to new faces and checking in with veterans, as the players prepare for a fresh start. The series will be narrated by radio play-by-play voice of the Devils Matt Loughlin, and all elements of production will be completed in-house in Newark.
The Devils drop the puck on the 2017-18 season Oct. 7 against the Colorado Avalanche at Prudential Center.
