The Devils hit the ice for practice at the RWJBarnabas Hockey House following several days off due to the holidays and the NHL's pause due to COVID. Ryan Graves, P.K. Subban, Nico Hischier, Christian Jaros, and Jesper Boqvist rejoined the team after all were on the NHL's COVID protocol list. However, Tomas Tatar and Jon Gilles were added to the list and were unavailable for practice.
New Jersey focused on various elements throughout practice including odd-man rushes, special teams, and conditioning.
The next scheduled Devils game is on the road in Buffalo on Dec. 29 against the Sabres.
