The Devils begin a four-game homestand against four Western Conference teams beginning Sunday afternoon with a showdown against the St. Louis Blues.
"We want to win as many games as possible, but we have to take it game by game. I think we did some great stuff in the Rangers' game, but couldn't score enough goals though," forward Andreas Johnsson said of a 3-1 loss at New York Friday night.
"Bring that same energy and same game we had for 40-50 minutes we had in the Rangers' game," he continued. "We were protecting our house and good in transition, getting pucks deep, create some offensive chances and don't give up too many chances. Keep playing the same way."

The Devils will host the Blues, Colorado (Tuesday), Winnipeg (Thursday) and Anaheim (Saturday). The Blues and Avalanche rank No. 2 and 1 respectively in the Central Division while the Jets and Ducks are within the playoff hunt.
"It's a good challenge. There are little things we can learn from, especially at home," forward Pavel Zacha said. "We have a game and rest in between every game. It'll be good for us to have that home stretch and win as many games as possible."
The Devils open the home swing against the Blues. The two teams previously played Feb. 10 at St. Louis with New Jersey earning a 7-5 come-from-behind victory.
"We had a great game away against them," Johnsson said. "We know they have a lot of power on that team. If we can play the same way that we did away in the Rangers game where we played tight and don't give room any chances, and take advantage of our chances we may have a chance tomorrow."
That Rangers' game took place on Friday, meaning the Devils will play five games in a nine-day period. That's a lot of hockey late in the season.
"The coaching staff and the guys that do treatments have done a great job this season," Zacha said. "The bye week and the All-Star break are a great help for the players, having a little bit of time of and having practice in between. Now it'll help us moving forward."
And, really, the preparation to be fresh this late in the year has been a season-long endeavor.
"It really started in the beginning of the season," Johnsson said. "For the teams that are good now have taken care of themselves the whole year, and it makes it easier in February and March when they've played a lot of games already. It's too late to start now."
On top of that, Johnsson added: "Eat good, sleep good, drink good."
