SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA -Arizona Coyotes General Manager Bill Armstrong announced today that the Coyotes have acquired a 2023 third-round draft choice and defenseman Michael Kesselring from the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for forward Nick Bjugstad and defenseman Cam Dineen.

"I'd like to thank Nick for all of his contributions to the Coyotes on and off the ice this season," said Armstrong. "Nick is a tremendous person and was extremely well-liked and respected in our dressing room. We wish him all the best with the Oilers."
The 23-year-old Kesselring has registered 13-9-22 and 40 penalty minutes (PIM) in 49 games with the Bakersfield Condors (AHL) which leads team defensemen. The 6-foot-5, 220-pound native of New Hampton, New Hampshire was originally drafted by the Oilers in the sixth round (164th overall) in the 2018 NHL Draft.
Bjugstad registered 13-10-23 and 26 PIM in 59 games with the Coyotes this season. Dineen appeared in 34 games with the Coyotes in 2021-22, tallying seven assists and four PIM.
