Washington's second preseason game of training camp 2017 went a bit better than the first. Two nights after falling 4-1 to the Devils in New Jersey in a penalty-ridden, flow-free game, the Caps prevailed by a 4-2 count over the Canadiens on Wednesday in Montreal. Playing in his first game as a member of the Capitals, Devante Smith-Pelly supplied what would prove to be the game-winning goal late in the third period.
