The Washington Capitals will host Army Night on Thursday, Nov. 3, during the game against the Winnipeg Jets at Verizon Center at 7 p.m. Army Night is an evening dedicated to honoring the men and women who have served the country in the armed forces.

The Capitals will pay tribute to the Army throughout the evening through in-game and intermission activities. General Mark Milley, Chief of Staff for the United States Army, will participate in a pre-game ceremonial puck drop with Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin and Jets captain Blake Wheeler.

Milley, the 39th Chief of Staff for the U.S. Army, has served in command and leadership positions from the platoon and operational detachment alpha level through Corps and Army Command.

Military District of Washington's U.S. Army Band Quartet will sing the national anthem. The Hero's Welcome sponsored by Boeing and Solider Salute sponsored by United Associates will feature service members from the Army. An in-game salute will recognize all branches of the U.S. military. In addition, the Association of the United States Army and the United States Army will have informational tables set on up the concourse.
