ARLINGTON, Va. - The Washington Capitals will host Go Green Night presented by WGL Energy on Monday, March 16, versus the Edmonton Oilers. For more than 20 years, WGL Energy has been providing competitive electricity and natural gas supply, renewable energy and carbon offsets to homeowners, small businesses and large enterprises in the Washington, D.C., region.

During Go Green Night, fans will learn how they can support a cleaner environment through green-themed activations throughout the game.
In addition, Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation will host a Green Auction with all proceeds benefiting Leveling the Playing Field (LPF). LPF is Monumental Sports' social impact partner for the month of April.
The auction will feature autographed, limited edition green jerseys with green ombré numbers worn during the pregame warmups on Go Green Night. The auction also will also include autographed sticks wrapped with green tape and autographed green Capitals pucks.
The auction is currently open on
Handbid
and will conclude at the end of the second intermission during the Caps game on March 16.
LPF is focused on delivering the opportunity to enjoy the mental and physical benefits of youth sports to underserved children. Through active solicitation of used and excess sporting equipment, it warehouses and sorts donations throughout the greater Washington region. The delivery of equipment to municipal and school programs serving low-income communities saves landfill space as well as program-funds, ensuring lower registration fees, expanded scholarship programs, and enhanced athletic program offerings for more children.
