Last week, the Washington Capitals hosted a cocktail reception at La Cosecha in the Union Market area to celebrate the Hispanic and Latinx Communities and their contributions to growing the game.
Business leaders, influencers, and community members came together to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and engage in conversation around ways to continue to grow the game.
Guests enjoyed delicious cocktails and appetizers from Destino's bar and culinary teams, and Chef Blaine Welsh introduced each passed bite.
Washington Capitals Assistant General Manager, Don Fishman gave remarks on the history of hockey in DC and the organization's goals to provide access to the sport and be a community for all moving forward.
