Vancouver, B.C. -In support of the National Hockey League's "Hockey is for Everyone" initiative, the Vancouver Canucks, and the Vancouver International Film Festival, will be hosting a free screening of Soul on Ice: Past, Present & Future on February 27th at 6:30pm at VIFF Vancity Theatre. The film, which received the People's Choice Award for feature film at the Edmonton International Film Festival, delves into the black experience throughout the history of hockey and how those experiences have encouraged more participation in the game.

From 5:30-6:30 pm, snacks and beverages will be available to guests while DJ Jay Swing provides entertainment prior to the movie. Following the screening, Director of Soul on Ice Damon Kwame Mason and Canucks TV host Joey Kenward will take to the floor for a hot stove and open it up to questions from guests in attendance.
