Vancouver, B.C. - Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the Canucks have signed forward Jonathan Dahlen to a three-year entry level contract.

"Jonathan is a very skilled player with good hands and goal scoring abilities," said General Manager Jim Benning. "He had a terrific year playing in Sweden and we're excited to see him at training camp as he continues to grow and develop into an NHL player."
Dahlen, 19, registered 44 points (25-19-44) with Timra this season and was the recipient of the 'Golden Cage' awarded annually to the best junior player in the Allsvenskan. The 5-11, 176-pound forward registered six points (5-1-6) in seven games for Sweden at the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship. He also led Sweden in scoring at the 2014 Ivan Hlinka tournament with five points (4-1-5) in five games.
A native of Ostersund, Sweden, Dahlen was acquired from Ottawa in exchange for Alex Burrows on February 27, 2017. He was originally selected by Ottawa in the second round, 42nd overall, at the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
