TICKET & SCHEDULE UPDATES
What happens to my existing tickets for games that are not taking place?
Tickets will remain valid for rescheduled games. Ticketholders are encouraged to hold on to their tickets while we await further information from the NHL.
When will we have an update from the NHL about games being re-scheduled?
We do not have a precise timeline at this point but we are committed to sharing more information consistently and transparently, as it becomes available.
On March 15, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommended against gatherings with 50 people-or-more for a period of eight weeks. How does that impact the NHL's timeline on determining when the season can resume?
The NHL will continue to monitor developments during the 60-day window prescribed by the CDC. Assuming events are tracking positively, the NHL would hope to be able to begin providing high-level guidance on the potential of opening a Club training camp period roughly 45 days into the period covered by the CDC's recommendation.
I purchased my tickets through a resale site. Whom should I contact for information?
All tickets purchased through a resale site will be subject to the refund policy of that ticket operation. Please contact the customer service department at your point of purchase.
How can I still watch/hear Canucks hockey?
Sportsnet will be re-airing select classic Canucks games. Click here to view the full Sportsnet TV schedule.
Sportsnet 650 will also be re-airing select games from the 2019.20 season. Please stay tuned here for updates.
What is happening at 7pm?
Some of our Canucks players and alumni have encouraged fans and minor hockey players to tap their sticks at 7pm each night to honour the health care workers dealing with COVID-19. We want to lend our support in our own unique "Canadian/Canuck" way to the growing 7pm movement around the world, and now happening here locally.
NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE UPDATES
Has any decision been made regarding whether the remainder of the regular season will be played? Has any decision been made regarding what form the Stanley Cup Playoffs would take?
No. The form and format of resumption of play scenarios will depend entirely on what transpires between now and when the NHL is permitted and able to resume - and, ultimately, on timing and taking into account logistical constraints. We (the NHL) are going to have to be flexible and react to events as they unfold as well as the best medical advice available.
Will games resume in arena venues that are closed to the public?
It is premature to say what the circumstances would be for resumption of play, but the NHL is prepared to follow the direction of relevant health authorities.
If the NHL playoffs go into July and/or August, could there be a shortened regular season next year?
No. The NHL does not anticipate a scenario in our resumption of play format that would endanger or interfere with the League's ability to stage and execute the 2020-21 NHL season in its entirety.
Have any decisions been made regarding the 2020 Draft or Combine?
On March 25th, the NHL announced the postponements of the 2020 NHL Scouting Combine, the 2020 Bridgestone NHL Awards, and the 2020 NHL Draft, which were originally scheduled for June 1-6 in Buffalo, N.Y., June 18 in Las Vegas, and June 26-27 in Montreal, respectively, due to the ongoing uncertainty resulting from the coronavirus.
The location, timing and format of the 2020 NHL Draft (and Draft Lottery) will be announced when details are finalized.
How will the League handle Player contracts that expire July 1 in the event the season's end is delayed?
Any decision the NHL makes on the schedule and critical dates calendar during the off-season ultimately will be done in conjunction with the NHLPA and, in that context, the parties will discuss how best to accommodate the resumption of play determinations that are ultimately made.
