Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Canucks will celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community on March 11th against the Washington Capitals during their annual pride game, presented by TD.

2SLGBTQIA+ is an acronym that stands for two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, asexual and additional sexual orientations and gender identities.
Pride night is part of Hockey Is for Everyone, a joint NHL and NHLPA initiative celebrating diversity and inclusion in hockey. Hockey is for Everyone uses the game of hockey and the League's global influence, to drive positive social change and foster more inclusive communities. The Canucks support any teammate, coach or fan who brings heart, energy, and passion to the rink.
The Canucks are honoured to work with Swedish artist, Hermine 'Mio' Linzie, to create this year's limited-edition Pride jersey. After being worn by players during warmups, the jerseys will be available for auction at
vanbase.ca
with proceeds supporting You Can Play. The Pride merch collection including mugs, tees and more can be purchased at the Canucks Team Store in section 113 or at

.
In addition, a $10,000 donation on behalf of the Canucks for Kids Fund will be given to both Rainbow Refugee, a chosen beneficiary from the Vancouver Pride Society, and QMUNITY. Both QMUNITY and Rainbow Refugee are local non-profit organizations based in Vancouver that support and assist 2SLGBTQIA+ people and their allies.
