The Columbus Blue Jackets would like to invite all First Responders, along with friends and families, to be honored at the Columbus Blue Jackets vs. New York Islanders game on October 19th at 7:00 p.m..

Police vs. Fire Hockey Game

  • Columbus Police and Columbus Fire vs FDNY hockey
  • Doors open at 2:15 p.m.
  • Honor Guard during anthem
  • Puck drop is at 2:30 p.m.

The night will consist of in-game recognition for police, fire, and emergency personnel:

  • Each First Responder will receive an exclusive CBJ challenge coin (subject to availability)
  • BE SURE TO CHECK OUT THE INTERACTIVE STATIONS THROUGHOUT THE MAIN CONCOURSE!
  • Columbus Police, Columbus Fire, Columbus Police Therapy Dog Unit, Bomb Robot Pipe and Drums, Emergency Vehicles on Nationwide Blvd.
  • Honor Guard - Delaware County Sheriff's Office
  • Police & Fire Hockey Team Captains honored on-ice during pre-game
  • In-Game recognitions honoring Police and Fire 
  • Pipe and Drums performance
  • Fundraiser for organizations who give back to First Responders in the state of Ohio

The evening also encompasses a fundraising component with Columbus Firefighters Foundation being the beneficiary of the Blue Jackets Foundation's 50/50 Raffle, presented by KEMBA Financial Credit Union. 50/50 raffle tickets may be purchased in-arena or online at bluejackets.com/5050raffle.
