The Cleveland Monsters found some offense but still struggled to get wins this past week, beating Rochester by a 3-1 score Wednesday before a pair of home losses to Hartford.
Ivan Fedotov made 25 saves while Corson Ceulemans had a goal and an assist, Luca Del Bel Belluz had two helpers and Tate Singleton and Mikael Pyyhtiä scored in the win at the Amerks. Friday, Cleveland got two goals from Del Bel Belluz and tallies from Hunter McKown and Jordan Dumais but lost a 6-4 final, then the Wolf Pack rallied to a 3-2 win Saturday despite tallies from McKown and Ceulemans.
Now 6-6-3-1, Cleveland is sixth in the AHL North in the early going but has played the fewest games of any team in the division. Del Bel Belluz now has 11 points in 11 games (5-6-11) while Pyyhtiä has a 3-8-11 line in 14 and Dumais has four goals and nine points in 13 contests.
The Monsters trip to take on Grand Rapids on Wednesday before hosting Syracuse on Thursday and Saturday for a pair of Blue Jackets-themed games.
