PROSPECT SPOTLIGHT

LUCA MARRELLI (OSHAWA, OHL)

The 2024 third-round pick has six goals and 30 assists for 36 points in 20 playoff games to place second in the OHL in playoff scoring as the Generals trail London, 3-1, in the OHL championship series. Marrelli's 74 points in the regular season placed fourth among all OHL D, and his 36 playoff points are third all-time for a defenseman in the OHL playoffs.

CAYDEN LINDSTROM (MEDICINE HAT, WHL)

Lindstrom has returned from more than a year's absence because of injury and posted 2-2-4 in the first three games of the WHL championship series to help the Tigers to a 2-1 advantage. The 2024 first-round pick has at least a point in all three contests.

LUCA PINELLI (CLEVELAND)

Pinelli scored his first two pro goals, including the OT winner, as the Monsters won Game 1 of their opening-round playoff series vs. Toronto by a 4-3 score. The rookie wing had a 2-2-4 line in six playoff games with the Monsters after notching 85 goals the past two years with Ottawa of the OHL.

CLEVELAND MONSTERS

The Monsters saw their season come to an end Tuesday at Laval, as the Rocket's 4-1 victory gave the AHL North Division regular-season champs a 3-1 win in their best-of-five series.

Cleveland, the AHL affiliate of the Blue Jackets, won Game 3 but couldn't keep the momentum going as the Rocket came out and took a 3-0 lead in the first period. Luca Del Bel Belluz's goal late in the second got Cleveland on the board, but Laval was able to close out the contest from there, adding an empty-net tally.

The Monsters' second straight playoff appearance ended with Denton Mateychuk (3-2-5 in five games) and Luca Pinelli (2-2-4 in six contests) as the leading scorers. Goalie Jet Greaves posted a 2.67 GAA and .912 save percentage in the postseason.
