The top affiliate of the Blue Jackets took three points this weekend in a pair of home games vs. Syracuse, posting a comeback 5-4 win on Friday night before a 4-3 shootout setback Saturday.
Luca Del Bel Belluz was the star, tallying twice in each game, including a pair of goals in the last 2:11 of Friday's game to tie the score at 4 before Corson Ceulemans won it in OT. Del Bel Belluz had two more tallies Saturday and Joseph LaBate scored for the second straight game. The 2022 second-round draft pick is third in the AHL in goals (15) and second in points (26) and has nine goals in the last seven games.
Now 15-6-0-2 and tied for first place in the AHL North, Cleveland hosts Lehigh Valley on Thursday and Saturday at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
