Meet Josh. As a Columbus native, he was overjoyed when the Blue Jackets came into town in 2000, but in 2006 he focused his devotion to his country and enlisted in the Marine Corps.
He's been serving around the world and cheering on CBJ over the past 12 years. But in December, he got to share that love with his family thanks to Worthington Industries. Josh, wife Audrey and three kids got stationed in South Korea for three years starting this past January. As a last hoorah before their deployment, Josh with his family and friends got to cheer on CBJ in December from Worthington Industries Community Suite.
"It's the first Blue Jackets game all three of my kids have ever been to. We traveled cross-country in late December to be able to see friends and family before we left for South Korea, but we can't say thank you enough to Worthington Industries for giving us this suite so we could have a night out with everyone," Josh said.
Throughout this season, over 150 community members have enjoyed Blue Jackets games in Worthington Industries community suite.
"We are honored to have hosted Josh and his family," said Sonya Higginbotham, Vice President of Communications for Worthington Industries. "We have partnered with the Blue Jackets for the last few years to give veterans and community organizations the opportunity to enjoy Blue Jackets hockey in a unique suite experience."
